A poem of his in CBSE school syllabus and another in the college M.A English syllabus are in place. He served in the Rubber Board, India, and retired as Dy. Rubber Production Commissioner. He graduated from Alagappa College, Karaikudi in 1963. He hails from a hamlet near Karaikudi in Tamilnadu, India. He is an atheist, and belong to Tamil Vaisya Saivite sect known as Nagarathar.
